The contest rules consisted in 10 000 lv (around EUR 5100) budget that should pay both the design prize and elaboration of the pavilion, untypical but interesting point.
Another compulsory point was to be sustainable as possible. So reusing existing iron items was my first thought – they are already produced and won’t harm the environment any more serving as furniture. Apart from that, they will draw the public attention to more “reuse, reduce, recycle” practices.
This entry includes concept for open-construction pavilion, according to the announced parameters and location. Like all the construction tubes and joints, all items scattered around serving as furniture for seating, storage and display, are actually found in scrap material site and carefully selected for the purpose.
In the PDF-file you can take closer look to the items.
