The Forest Project

A 52 sq. m apartment in the center of Sofia.
The motif of the project is the contradiction between graphics and organics.
They collide in every room via straight lines and organic shapes. This contradiction resembles the never-ending battle between brain and soul.
Each space is dedicated either to a moderate climate forest or a tropical landscape via colorful photo murals. Eclectics of randomly selected furniture and accessories look like an artful whim, even tell a joke and surprise at every corner. A mixture of textures, patterns, metallic profiles, bricks and solid volumes gives the playful touch.
Original architecture plan was corrected in order to create more fluid movement through spaces as well as to achieve extra laundry room, instead of a too big bathroom.
