Caramel and Cream Project

Apartment of 103 sq. m in Sofia. Project solves the union of two smaller separate apartments into one bigger. This was possible only through full transformation. Just the water installations and the bathrooms’ positions were kept.

The client wished to achieve 2 bedrooms, guest room turning into medical office, 2 bathrooms with wc, kitchen-dining-living facing South, corridor with storage and laundry.

After thorough examination of the space and the possible solutions, the best option is as published. Symmetrical kitchen with enough storage and cooking surface, comapct fireplace and wine fridge next to the dining room. In one of the bathrooms there is a bathtub, in the other – a bidet. In the corridor there are laundry and storage and doors to all rooms. Two balconies remain untouched – there was no need to assimilate them in order to accomplish the aim.

Colors and materials – the color palette sticks to mild neutral, woodsy, sand and white tones. Flooring and bathrooms are in gres tiles in sand tones, no extra decors. Parquet covers the bedrooms’ floors. Graphic wallpapers appear in bedroom and living. Oak furniture is mixed with white tones and copper decors in kitchen doors and TV furniture doors.

The corridor combines high interior doors with cabinet doors to wardrobes and laundry in an invisible rhythm.
In the guest room there is only one modular furniture element covering the whole wall, combining hidden bed with working desk, storage and drawers.
In the childrens’ room the space is optimized for storage and retractable bed, with special wall for kids’ doodles.
